15 Rules to Live By
This can be a hectic, confusing world we live in, but there are several rules to help you succeed at whatever you choose to do:
- Embrace change and learn from new experiences
- Ask questions – LISTEN
- Take ownership of your education
- No plan = No direction
- Be honest with yourself and others
- Don’t agonize – organize – take action
- Never, never give up
- Help others
- Manage your time or be mismanaged by it
- Believe in yourself
- Don’t find fault – find a solution
- Develop a positive “I’ll Make It Happen” attitude
- Good decisions – good results; poor decisions – poor results
- Eliminate excuses and take more responsibility
- Write your goals down, add action steps and a timetable
These rules will help you answer “yes” to this question:
“Did I give my best effort to today’s activities?”
Good luck – You are a WINNER!
Suggestions for implementation:
- Determine your three best traits on this list.
- Determine three traits that need your attention.
- Take one of the traits that needs your attention and set a goal for improving in that area. Remember to write your goals down, add action steps and a timetable.
- Find an adult to help you reach your full potential.

Quote for the Week
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I love quotes because they say things I'm thinking but in 1/3 the number of words.
How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and the strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these. George Washington Carver
